EO Johnson began as a copier business in Wausau, Wisconsin, in 1957. Since then, they have expanded to be a leading business technology provider, serving Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
In 2022, EO Johnson recognized a need to renovate their existing office in Wausau. This location serves as the company's headquarters and is the home base for many communities they serve throughout central Wisconsin. Their existing office was outdated and in need of repairs; meanwhile, their team had grown significantly and needed additional workspaces.
Hoeft worked alongside Cedar Corporation to redesign the floor plan to meet EO Johnson's growing needs and plan for future growth.
This project was split into two phases to allow operations to continue throughout, demonstrating our dedication to flexibility, coordination, and client-focused execution.
Project Spotlight
The 16,500-square-foot office renovation transformed the building from the studs up into a modern, dynamic headquarters designed to support both employees and daily operations. The remodel included:
- Complete infrastructure upgrades, including relocated plumbing and electrical systems, new electrical throughout, and new windows and doors to improve long-term functionality, efficiency, and overall building performance
- A refreshed exterior featuring an updated front façade and new paint, and a remodeled lobby to create a polished, welcoming first impression for clients, visitors, and employees
- A reimagined floor plan with private offices, open workspaces, cubicles, and conference rooms designed to support a variety of work styles while encouraging collaboration, flexibility, and productivity across teams
- Employee-focused amenities, including a large breakroom, updated restrooms, and an exterior patio to enhance workplace comfort, employee satisfaction, and company culture
- Dedicated printer staging and service areas tailored to support service technician teams and improve day-to-day operational efficiency and workflow organization
