Northwestern Bank is a locally owned community bank that has been serving western Wisconsin for over 120 years through its seven locations across the Chippewa Valley. Hoeft and Northwestern Bank began working together in 2016 with the ground-up construction of their office in Altoona, Wisconsin.

Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin
In 2023, Hoeft partnered with Evolve Architects to revitalize Northwestern Bank’s downtown Chippewa Falls office, modernizing the existing building and reimagining the floor plan to enhance the overall banking experience. Completed in phases to keep the branch fully operational throughout construction, the project balanced progress with minimal disruption to daily banking operations.
Key Updates:
- A reconfigured lobby and teller line designed to improve customer flow, accessibility, and the overall in-branch experience
- Additional private offices with large interior windows to create an open feel while maintaining privacy and supporting a range of client interactions
- A bright, refreshed interior featuring updated casework, trim work, paint, lighting, and flooring to create a polished, welcoming environment for both customers and staff
Altoona, Wisconsin
In 2016, Hoeft partnered with River Valley Architects to build Northwestern Bank’s new, full-service branch in the River Prairie Development. Designed to seamlessly blend customer experience with day-to-day operational needs, this 6,600-square-foot bank creates a welcoming, professional environment that serves both the community and the client’s long-term business goals.
